The ESG Ratings Working Group held the third session of our 2026 series on Wednesday, May 6th, featuring Radhika Mehrotra, Head of Data and Channel Partnerships, Americas at CDP.

The session focused on how CDP is evolving its questionnaire and data offerings for 2026, including the new Oceans theme, expanded small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) content, closer alignment with TNFD and other standards, and AI‑enabled platform features aimed at reducing disclosure burden and improving data usability. It also explored how companies are using CDP disclosure to support emerging regulatory requirements (including in California), the continuing role of scores for investors and index providers, and CDP’s perspective on the shifting ESG landscape and its own evolution through the rest of the decade.

In the member‑only discussion, we debriefed the CDP discussion and shared examples of CDP data being used directly in major customer programs alongside regulatory readiness. Members were also invited to consider how their CDP plans align with the regions where they operate, before turning to a brief current events update and a look ahead to upcoming sessions.
