James brings substantial expertise in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management, grounded in an industrial port setting and supported by a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management. He has guided diverse clients in developing robust EHS management systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and certification requirements.

James is highly experienced in auditing environmental and health & safety management systems, with a strong focus on ISO standards and UK & Ireland regulatory compliance. Additionally, he oversees multinational EHS compliance programs and contributes to the account team for a leading multinational energy company, delivering practical solutions that drive sustained performance and regulatory assurance.

Yiwen Lu is an experienced consultant in renewable energy advisory work, primarily focusing on technical due diligence (TDD) assignments. She has a strong track record in acting as lenders’ technical advisor in Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe, delivering high quality TDD, construction and operational monitoring reports. She has significant experience in review of technical risks associated with the EPCI contracts and interface risk management documentation; and has an in-depth understanding of scheduling (accessibility) analysis, and Capex/Opex.

Yiwen has also been involved in a range of international wind projects, both on- and offshore, in APAC, Europe and North America, conducting contracts review, construction accessibility modelling, permitting review, repowering feasibility review, pre-shipping inspections, and factory/onshore site visits. She is also experienced in market studies, covering merit order analysis for market penetration/future bidding and general review of offshore O&M cost trend. Her fields of competence include: technical due diligence, floating offshore wind, merit order analysis (for market entry); and project management.

Ruaraidh is a Chartered Environmentalist with over 20 years’ experience in environmental planning and assessment. He has expertise in managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for renewable energy projects 
and energy infrastructure in Scotland. This has included EIAs for over a dozen onshore wind farms as well as solar PV farms inc. Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Ruaraidh helped deliver the EIA for the ~170km Spittal to 
Loch Buidhe to Beauly 400kV OHL Connection and coordinated the EIA for the longest section of the £3bn A9 Trunk Road Dualling Programme. Ruaraidh has a detailed knowledge of consenting processes and EIA regimes. He seeks to influence design from the earliest stage and has a successful track record of working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver consents 
efficiently, whilst optimizing sustainability outcomes. 

Fiona is a consulting director with over 15 years’ technical advisory experience in the renewable energy sector, including technical advisory and contracts management. She has a strong focus on commercial and risk management aspects of renewable energy projects. Fiona’s fields of competence include ccommercial and contract review, risk analysis and mitigation, project management, lenders, vendors and acquisition technical due diligence, construction schedule review, DevEx, CapEx, OpEx and AbEx review.

Lucy is an environmental consultant with 4+ years of experience in renewables industry. She participates in projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with technical teams and specialists to ensure continuity and consistency within the projects. As an assistant project manager within the renewable energy sector, Lucy supported the coordination and delivery of new wind farm projects.

Laurie is a specialist in early-stage project advisory, impact assessment, and permitting for clean energy developments, leading and collaborating in multi-discipline teams to identify optimal pathways to project, consent and operation. Laurie’s renewables experience includes leading the survey, screening, scoping and preparation of EIA reports in support of applications under the Electricity Act and associated planning and EIA requirements. These include applications through the Scottish Energy Consents Unit and Local Planning Authorities.

Magnus is an environmental consultant with 3+ years of experience working in renewables industry as environmental consultant in ERM's Onshore Renewables Project Management Team. Since joining ERM in January 2023, Magnus has worked project managing onshore renewables developments (Wind, Solar, BESS) throughout the planning process from feasibility studies to PLI delivery.

Nicholas Wright is an Associate Partner at ERM with over 17 years’ experience in onshore renewable energy, specialising in onshore wind. He is an Environmental and Ecological Consultant, as well as an Expert Witness, with extensive project experience across Scotland and recent delivery in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Nicholas specialises in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) delivery, consenting strategy, and ecological assessment for complex onshore wind developments. He brings a strong track record of supporting onshore wind projects through planning and appeal and well as during post-consent phases, underpinned by deep expertise in EIA, onshore wind development, Habitat Regulations and terrestrial ecology.

He is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (MCIEEM).
