ERM is proud to sponsor the key event hosted by the Institute of the Americas, the Roundtable on Electricity and Natural Gas in Mexico 2025. This event will bring together leading voices in the energy sector to discuss Mexico’s electricity and natural gas outlook. 

Our colleague Alejandro de Jesús will be speaking on the panel: 

Natural Gas Outlook and Context: Energy Security and Dependence on U.S. Natural Gas Imports 

This panel will share valuable insights into Mexico’s energy security landscape, the strategic role of natural gas in the energy transition, and the challenges related to increasing dependence on imported gas—particularly from the United States. 

This roundtable will be a high-level forum for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas to build a more secure and sustainable energy future.

Mr. Alejandro de Jesús is a Senior Partner at ERM, serving as a trusted advisor and consultant to the Energy and Hydrocarbons sectors across Mexico and Central America. He brings a wealth of diverse professional experience in petroleum engineering, facilities engineering, production operations, and environmental management. His career includes key leadership roles such as Chief Engineer at a petroleum refinery and Technical Services Manager.
Mr. de Jesús has led and managed international environmental programs throughout Latin America, South America, and the United States, overseeing regional teams across multiple countries. He has played a pivotal role in numerous Environmental Impact Assessments and Due Diligence projects, particularly in alignment with the Equator Principles and Performance Standards. His recent work includes LNG projects in Mexico, Panama, and El Salvador.
