Heather Mak
Manager
“In the face of rapid population growth and dwindling resources, the way we live, work, and play will need to be completely transformed. Companies who take a holistic view, understand their stakeholders, and use scarcity as a catalyst for innovation, will be the ones that succeed.”
Based in London, Heather focuses on brands and fast moving consumer goods, where her past and present consulting portfolio includes clients such as ALDI, Coca-Cola, DSM, Nestlé, Sara Lee and Volkswagen. She recently co-authored the publication Signed, Sealed… Delivered?, which focuses on sustainability standards, certifications and labels, their value and challenge to business, how businesses should make the best use out of them, and how they fit in the context of a larger sustainability toolkit.
Heather is experienced in CSR strategy development and reporting, materiality, community investment, carbon management and stakeholder engagement. Previously, Heather worked at Canadian Business for Social Responsibility as a CSR Advisor for the retail sector and in various in-house sales and marketing roles in global fast moving consumer goods companies, including Storck, L’Oreal, and Procter & Gamble.
