SustainAbility at Davos
Davos. Power. Business. Innovation.
The great themes of the day - debated in the elegant seclusion of a Swiss mountain town. From “Economic Insecurity” and “Exploring Nature’s New Frontiers,” to “Competing While Collaborating,” the gathering of leading thinkers at the annual World Economic Forum has always set out ambitious goals and lofty visions. And the value of the questions raised and conversations joined cannot be underestimated.
For many years John Elkington, SustainAbility founder and Chief Entrepreneur, has been on the faculty of the Forum -- bringing to Davos his refreshing perspective on what businesses need to do to advance the sustainability agenda.
Now he is also blogging from Davos, where the exclusivity of the sessions has often irritated the excluded. In keeping with SustainAbility’s role for two decades as a robust bridge between disparate peoples and perspectives, Sophia Tickell, chairperson of the SustainAbility board of directors, also comments from our offices in London.
