Rob Cameron to Keynote Corporate Responsibility Group Exchange 2013
Rob Cameron will keynote the CRG Exchange, which takes place on November 5th, 2013 from 9am – 6:30pm. This year’s conference theme is From Bolt-on to Bloodstream: Integrating Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability into Corporate Strategy.
About the conference:
At this year’s CRG Exchange we want to continue our tradition of connecting the big strategic challenges facing the CRG community with the practical tools and techniques that members need to respond effectively.
Businesses everywhere continue to operate amidst difficult economic conditions and in the wider context of the challenges of sustainability that will test the resilience of their business models. Simultaneously, trust in business continues to be threatened as civil society mobilises on issues like tax avoidance, treatment of employees and supply chain standards.
In this context the work of the corporate responsibility and sustainability (CRS) professional is both more important and more difficult. It is more important because building trust in business is central to the healthy operation of our economy and the long term success of the company. It is more difficult because practitioners are under pressure to demonstrate that CRS can play an important part in responding to the current issues companies face.
For many CRG members the challenge is to find ever more effective ways of integrating their activities into the operations of their businesses and in doing so contribute to creating value both for the company and for society.
The CRG Exchange this year will focus on the need to integrate CRS into mainstream business strategy. We will hear from senior business leaders on the need to move toward a more strategic future for CRS and the implications for corporate strategy. Participants will work alongside experts who are successfully integrating their work into their company’s corporate strategy and learn from their experience and we will also examine some of the tools and techniques that are available.
