Press Release: SustainAbility and FBDS examine the state of corporate sustainability reporting in Brazil
Sustainability reporting in Brazil is growing rapidly, but rigor and credibility vary widely between reports, and too few companies are focused on identifying key priorities and establishing concrete goals – this according to the findings of a new survey by SustainAbility and FBDS.
In 2008 SustainAbility and FBDS undertook the first comprehensive survey of corporate sustainability reporting in Brazil, identifying the Top 10 reporters and offering recommendations for future improvement. Since then, global events have shaken the world’s financial system and everyone who depends upon it. The 2010 study revisits Brazil to see how the nation’s accountability landscape has evolved during this difficult period.
The results published today measure the quality of sustainability reports according to four key dimensions – Governance & Strategy, Management, Presentation of Performance, and Accessibility & Assurance – using the Global Reporters methodology that SustainAbility has been refining for more than 15 years with hundreds of clients.
