Nestlé publishes Creating Shared Value report

Nestlé SA has released its second comprehensive sustainability report, Creating Shared Value 2009. Nestlé has published this alongside its annual financial report as part of a suite. It has also firmly committed to performance-based reporting, starting with a first set of strategic Key Performance Indicators.

SustainAbility has worked with Nestlé on Creating Shared Value strategy and reporting since 2007, and our founder and board member John Elkington is on the Nestlé Creating Shared Value Advisory Board. Our focus in 2009 was on collaborating with Nestlé on relevance, including prioritizing material activities as well as issues, and on performance assessment, including working with issue owners on developing Key Performance Indicators.
