Jeff Erikson speaks on confronting energy demand and water scarcity in China
Jeff Erikson, SustainAbility’s Senior Vice President based in Washington, spoke at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars on May 6, alongside Circle of Blue and USEPA, on the increasingly urgent water/energy choke point in China. Jeff focused on the implications to business of the impending crisis – documented in startling detail in Circle of Blue’s Choke Point: China investigative series – as China struggles to provide the water required to exploit the domestic energy resources upon which its growing economy relies.
SustainAbility is partnering with Circle of Blue and GlobeScan to take this work a step further, specifically with a view to helping companies understand and mitigate the risks that China’s water/energy choke point represents to their operations, markets and investments. Please contact Jeff if you’d like to discuss sponsorship opportunities and benefits relating to this project.
