Geoff Kendall to Chair Net Impact Debate on Sustainable Cities

15 Jan 2013 – Event

By 2030, 60% of people will live in a city, and by 2050 this will rise to 70%. In that context, a prosperous future demands that we make cities sustainable, but how do we do it? Next month Geoff Kendall will be chairing a Net Impact panel debate – Retrofitting the Sustainable City – to explore this question.

The event will take place on Wednesday, February 13th from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at The Hub Westminster in London. Geoff will reflect on SustainAbility’s Citystates research, and will be joined on the panel by:

  • Elspeth Finch, Director of Futures at Atkins Global (authors of Future Proofing Cities)
  • Conor Riffle, Head of Cities for the Carbon Disclosure Project (see CDP Cities)
  • Rupert Fausset, Principal Sustainability Advisor at Forum for the Future (authors of Megacities on the Move)
