Skoll Podcast 1: What Is It About Social Entrepreneurs?
2006 sees SustainAbility switching on to social entrepreneurship in a big way, with a $1 million, 3-year grant from The Skoll Foundation, a book in preparation for Harvard Business School Press which pairs John Elkington and Pamela Hartigan (who runs The Schwab Foundation) as co-authors, and a SustainAbility Board decision to integrate innovation and entrepreneurial solutions into all aspects of our work.
So what are the links between corporate responsibility, social entrepreneurship and sustainable development? In the first of a series of 10-15 minute podcast conversations, John Elkington (Founder & Chief Entrepreneur) and Sophia Tickell (Chair) give their views. Later interviews will probe the thinking and experience of leading social entrepreneurs, key funders and business people who have partnered with – or are learning from – these extraordinary innovators.
