This Issue Brief draws on analysis and recommendations made in SustainAbility’s 2006 report: Taxing Issues – Responsible Business and Tax. Published with support from tax experts and leaders in corporate responsibility, the report examines how the traditionally opaque world of corporate tax planning is coming under increasing pressure to enhance transparency and demonstrate greater accountability. The report provides context, best practise guidance and a framework for companies to review their approach. An initial outline is provided below.
