In the Q&A session in the low carbon Germany event, Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel responded to a challenge from the audience that in reality no progress had been made in the last ten years. ‘Not true’, he said, ‘At the Gleneagles G8 Summit this year, George Bush had actually used the word Kyoto. This was one giant leap for George Bush but one small step for mankind!’
